Bo took a fall while decorating the Christmas tree and had dizzy spells as a result. He decided to keep this from Hope to keep her from worrying. On New Year's Eve, Bo passed out in the bathroom at Chez Rouge and was found by Steve.

Victor warned Philip about things possibly getting out of hand with Stephanie and Melanie working at Titan. After Melanie was caught trying to sabotage Stephanie at work, Philip fired her. Philip and Stephanie got closer through working together.

Abby returned for the holidays and let her family and friends know that she's transferring back to Salem University for their medical program. Max thought it was a perfect time to pick up where they left off, but caught Abby kissing another guy at the stroke of midnight.

Nick finally saw that Melanie wasn't right for him. He and Chelsea got closer as she visted him in jail frequently, promising to stay by his side.

Will returned home for break and immediately took a liking to Melanie.

Chloe was there for Lucas when he learned that Kate's cancer was getting worse. The two faced a rocky roadblock when Chloe disagreed with the way Lucas disciplined Will.

Daniel received Kate's tests and informed her that her cancer has entered her lymph nodes and more treatment would be necessary. Kate asked that they keep it between them until after the holidays are over. Kate broke the news to her family.

Melanie moved out of the Horton house because she felt unwanted and was welcomed by Caroline to stay above the pub. Upon getting fired from Titan, Melanie took up waiting tables at the pub and was surprisingly good at it.

Upon learning that Nicole was considering buying a baby from the black market, Brady introduced Nicole to his pregnant friend, Christine, who wanted to give her baby up for adoption. Brady also purchased the Blue Note Club with the inheritance money he received from John.

John saved Dr. Charlotte Taylor from two muggers and the two became quick friends, which did not sit well with Marlena. When Marlena was out of town, John and Charlotte got very close since John was using his therapy sessions as a way to get to know Charlotte.

Lexie let Stefano spend time with Theo, but kept these meetings from Abe.

Stefano turned out to be the one that hired the killer to assisante Mayor Marino. The killer agreed to keep his mouth shut and serve his jail time when Stefano threatened harm on the killer's family.

Steve and Kayla disagreed with Stephanie spending time with Philip. Kayla believed that Steve was making a big deal out of nothing.

EJ and Nicole became engaged and quickly married in an elegant holiday-themed wedding at the mansion. Nicole did everything she could to keep her secret from EJ.

The killer found the safe house where Rafe and Sami were staying and he attacked. Rafe was severly injured, but survived. Roman saved the day and had the killer arrested. Sami was reunited with her parents and revealed to them that she was pregnant with EJ's baby. Roman and Marlena agreed to take Sami to New York and live with Eric until she gave birth and they could figure out what to do next.

DAYS originally debuted on October 20, 2006. It lasted a little over two years, until I decided to start from scratch again. Why? In December, I was enjoying the stories on the real Days of our Lives, but the stories were kind of stale, but had potential to be great. So I decided to take the stories into my own direction and I'm two months into writing already! The start date was December 1, 2008.

I know a lot of people are not happy with the current state of DAYS. With the recent firings of Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John), many longtime fans have given up. I will let you know that I am going to keep the casting changes the way they are. That means Hall and Hogestyn are going to be exiting the show. While I respect both actors and the time they have given to my favorite soap opera, I can understand why they were chosen and I believe that DAYS can survive without them. However, that does not mean that I will never bring back John and Marlena. They are being written out in a way that they can be come back at any time.

There have been some other casting changes since I took over. Galen Gering (ex-Rafe), Josh Taylor (ex-Roman), Thaao Penghlis (ex-Tony) and Leann Hunley (ex-Anna) have all be let go. Alison Sweeney (Sami) is now on her maternity leave, but will return in the spring. Ashley Benson (Abby) returned, followed by former AMC actor Brett Weber (Ross). Kim Zimmer's son, Jake Weary has taken over the role of Will Roberts as well.

To help people quickly catch up on everything that's happend in the last two months, I'm going to post monthly reviews for December and January. It's only been two months. A lot has happened that is different from the real show, like Chloe and Daniel never starting an affair, but for the most part, all of the stories are still roughly the same.
