Kirsten Dunst "in" for Spider-Man 4
Source: MTV September 29, 2008

The recent revelation that Sony Pictures is looking to shoot Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man 5 at the same time didn't reveal whether Kirsten Dunst would rejoin director Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire for the films.

Now, Dunst has told MTV that she'll be back as Mary Jane Watson:

"I'm in," said the actress matter of factly. However, when pressed to make the announcement official, Dunst quickly changed her tone, and rather cryptically added, "I'm not saying anything, I know there's rumors..."

The studio is targeting a May 2011 release for the fourth pic.

I thought that Spiderman 3 was suppose to be the last one. :hmm:

Wasn't there a rumor that Tobey Maguire wouldn't be back?

I loved KD as MJ. I thought she was perfect

I thought she was a miscast at first and had my reservations but she surprised me. I liked her. I think for the next film they should either reduce her role or cut her out though. It would be more interesting to introduce the Black Cat and play her off Spidey. Gwen Stacy was such a letdown in the last film

I agree.

I do think they should cut her role way down, but i do think MJ should be there. In peters life. But not the focus of it.

Gwen was such a letdown.
