I was thinking of doing an entire music forum, but on the advice of one of my favorite people UKBoi, he suggested we try a music thread first. If anyone has a song or album (past or present) they'd like to recommend, here's your place to do it. If there's a good response, we'll create a forum.

Tut tut, Ryan, listening to leaks:P Like I can talk, I was right on the Danity Kane album the minute it dropped.
As for Mariah, I'm not a fan of Touch My Body and it's a shame that after such a great comeback album as The Emancipation of Mimi she lets herself come out with something that wouldnt have even been a filler on her last album.
Right now I'm loving Girls Aloud, well, for the last 6 years or so. They're not really known in the US as far as I'm aware but they're the biggest girl group in the UK and apparently the most successful girl group in UK chart history. Anyone new to them, I recommend downloading their tracks Sound of the Underground, No Good Advice, Jump, Love Machine, Wake Me Up, Biology, Something Kinda Ooh, Sexy! No, No No, Call The Shots and Can't Speak French, although a lot of their album tracks are just as strong (if not stronger) than some of their singles.
I also really love the new Madonna and Justin song, although I cant say I'm a massive fan of the video.

Speaking of Perez's latest posts, did you see the video of UK reality "star" Chanelle Hayes' new single and video? I really dont like her and didnt want to like this, but I'm finding myself drawn to liking it.

I'm not a huge fan of her album, to be honest. While Bleeding Love, Footprints in the Sand, Better in Time, Whatever it Takes and Take a Bow are all good songs (Bleeding Love being outstanding), overall it's got a lot of filler and dull ballads. I really believe and hope Leona has a great career ahead of her, though.

She won The X Factor (the successor of Pop Idol, which went on to spawn American Idol) last year (well, actually in December 2006) and went straight to #1 with a cover of the Kelly Clarkson song A Moment Like This (both shows have Simon Cowell involved...figures). Rather than go down the route of churning out lots of singles from a rushed first album like many others, Simon Cowell spotted her high calibre of talent and set her up with some of the best writers and producers and for a nearly year she worked on her first album, Spirit. The first single, Bleeding Love, was #1 in the UK for longer than I want to remember and her album did really well as well, and now they're launching her in the US, to great success as Bleeding Love is #1 there as well now, I think.

Leona, as UKBoi mentioned, I believe is most famous for her recent "Bleeding Love" song. Its just fantastic, and if you have not listened to Bleeding Love, you need to go find it and listen to it. Seriously. It was the first song from someone in the UK to hit #1 on the US charts in twenty years or so.
She's great, I listen to Bleeding Love all the time.

I have every single cd and dvd that man has made. He's brilliant.
Favorite is "Everything" and "Save The Last Dance"
I recommend all his cd's.
Lately I've been listening to Danity Kane "Welcome to the Dollhouse", thanks to SOS owners, and Sara Bareilles "Little Voice".
