The pilot airs May 12th as a Gossip Girl episode. If picked up, the show will debut in the fall.

Bad news guys, Deadline Hollywood is reporting that the show is dead! I hope thier sources are wrong on this one.

(GOSSIP GIRL SPINOFF (Warner Bros/CBS-Paramount/Alloy Entertainment): As I reported at 2:45 PM today, put a fork in it. It's done. Next Monday's episode of Gossip Girl is a flashback that was supposed to be a tempting taste for next fall's spinoff following the wild teen years of now mom Lily van der Woodsen (played by Brittany Snow) in Los Angeles in the 1980s. But even though I heard Peter Roth loved its yesteryear vibe, the show went from hot, to lukewarm, to "fading but wouldn't count out", to now dead, according to my insiders. I'm really surprised.

me too. because i loved the amazingness that was the lily flashbacks on last night's show. It actually made me really excited for the spin-off. Not to mention it was way better than the present day gossip girl part of the show.

I really liked that episode and was so excited by it. I thought Brit was amazing and looked a lot like Lily that it was pulled off well. Loved the flashbacks to the big hair and such! I got flashbacks to the movie Less Than Zero with Andrew McCarthy, I thought he was perfect as the dad. And comeon, Cynthia Watros as the Mom! Can it get any better than that?
