“Got Brenda?”
From the RIL board:
Ok troops! We are gearing up for a new campaign to bring our Brenda Barrett back to Port Charles! We need everyone to join in and help with our cause.
We are looking to email TPTB as much as possible. I would still like a M-W-F email schedule, if at all possible. Also, I’d like a post card influx and calls to the studio. TPTB do listen to what we say. They do take email counts, call counts and post card counts seriously. It is how they gage the audience. It doesn’t mean we get what we want, but our voices do get heard. TPTB do want VM back, that is not a secret. We just need to let them know that we are very interested in having her back, too and to give TPTB the push to be serious in getting her. Vanessa has magic about her. Her fans are passionate and loyal to her and her projects. Think of how long we have gone without seeing her on our show and still, we want her back.
Things to remember when contacting TPTB…..
*No negative mail….. Don’t say that you don’t like or hate Sonny with Carly, Claudia, Olivia, the hole in the wall, the corner or Jason. It counts as positive email for whatever pairing they see in the email/post card.
*Stay positive! Talk about Brenda’s connections on canvas, don’t just focus on SnB, just Brenda herself and her connections to the Q’s, Scorpio’s, Sonny, Jason, Jax, the fashion world (Think Maxie, Lulu and Crimson…. Brenda would be golden to take over the magazine….)
*Talk about how she would fit in the cast, how she could mesh with PC and bring cast integration together. There is no other character who has been able to do that in recent times….. But, Brenda can. (Robin needs her!!)
*Vanessa is available. There has been no word on another show since Without a Trace and there is no talk of a contract with any network.
*Vanessa has a huge fan base and will bring the ratings. Anything up is better than what the ratings are now. There is no doubt about that what-so-ever.
*No negativity. (Yes, I repeated myself.) DO NOT say that you no longer watch the show, even if it’s true. TPTB DON’T CARE one bit about if you watch or not. (They care but now how you think.) They want chunks of viewers to come back, not just the handful from our board. Focus on how bringing VM/Brenda back will increase the ratings.
With all that said, please join our cause, bring Brenda home once again and ask everyone…… “Got Brenda?”
