A new show is hard at work from Warner Bros. and TNT. A continuation of the original classic Dallas, this time focusing on John Ross and Christopher, J.R. and Bobby's sons.

I heart Dallas. I wonder if they'll do something with Falcon Crest.

I think that if this is successful, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, even Knots Landing might get do-overs or continuations.

But I'd like to see a revamp on a major network. Not TNT, but then again, I guess I should be happy that the thought of a Dallas continuation should tickle my armpit.

I think it's better to do it on a network like TNT. The budget may not be there, but they can use the language and tell the stories in a more free environment on TNT than the ever could on CBS or another network, IMO.

Loved that theme and opening. It's probably my favorite from all 14 seasons.

I think TNT is a decent choice for a Dallas remake when it comes to stations. They have been in the original series business for awhile now, seem pretty hands off with the programs that they air.

Thanks for the banner Amanda.

LOL. Just the other day, hubby and I were talking about how Dallas would be the next show to be remade. It seems the trend to pull shows from the 80s.

And you know what? I liked the theme opening for Falcon Crest for its last season even though the show was absolutely dreadful to watch. It seemed like every time I tuned in, Gregory Harrison's character and that other actress who's now a news reporter for CNN (I think) were always getting hot-n-heavy.

Now, trip off this. I LOVED that theme from the last season, and really liked the last season as a whole, because that was the only time I watched FC.

^^Ahhh! Do you remember (and I don't mean to get so off-track with this thread) the Christmas episode where Maggie wished Charlie a Merry Christmas with a gun and she pulled the trigger? That moment of Falcon Crest I will never forget!
