With all the violence on GH nowadays, I need to pick a new soap. I'm sorta leaning towards OLTL with the fifteen minutes that AMC has for Tad, Jesse and Angie on. What do you guys think I should pick up as my new soap?
Of course, if Vanessa Marcil joins any soap, I will automatically go there

Tishy, do you watch DOOL?
I've watched it my whole life and I left off a couple years ago since it was so craptastic. But I've picked it up again since Tamara Braun's been on and I'm liking it.

Days or OLTL. But its sort of hard to stomach Days knowing who is writing it so I only watch OLTL regularly now and its great, and once Ron Carlivati's material comes back I think it'll be even better. So far with Gary Tomlin writing it its been good, even though last week was a bit boring, its been much better this week. But its FAR better than GH, IMO.
Tune in to the "Best of Life in Salem" only on SOS!!!!!!!!

I know there are some who aren't happy with Y&R these days but for me, as a GH fan, Y&R is 1000x times better than GH. Days is going good right now too.

Ava reminds me of the Marina Toscano storyline and I am just not interested in Days anymore.
I have started taping Y&R to get a feel for it again. I am liking Phyllis very much and her chemistry with everyone. If that one doesnt work, I may switch to OLTL.
It's sad that GH is just so craptastic lately. If they get a new writer, I will be there like white on rice

^Tishy, as someone who wanted to get into Y&R anout 6 years ago i will tell you this. It takes some time, IMHO. It is a slopw build show and the characters are complex. being only 20 i never had seen such a thing. a show with such an ensemble cast. ehery every character down to gina who owned that resturant and the main had layers and were complex.
you olf course have the advantage of knowing Y&R more than i did tho, but my point is for everyone who ever watchs Y&R - you cant judge it once. you must watch it for at least a month if not two.

Hi, I love Days and have for about four years now, but TB is ruining that soap imo. If I wanted to watch GH actors I would watch GH (which I do), but when I turn on DOOL I tune in to watch DOOL actors. This is sort of like National League vs American League, but they are not the same type of actors. I don't like ultra violent, demented characters who obsess about men and define themselves by whether or not the men will give them a baby. For that type of pathetic woman, I watch GH and get Claudia for the violent personality and Robin for the pathetic need to be given a baby.
Days I tune in for fun plots with crazy schemes. Thankfully Nicole is coming back so hopefully the villainy will be at least entertaining, but just watching a woman have goons is too GH for a soap as good as DOOL.

I couldnt disagree more. Great soap actors have hopes roles and sometimes its amazing. I think think that any soap should use people that have never been on another soap.
The fact that Ava is psycho and you hate her has nothing to do with Tamara.
